Uber Wants To Give People More Than Just Rides

LONDON: While Uber is still involved in scandals related to the attitude of its CEO or the politics of its employees, its idea and technological development continue to evolve, expanding worldwide and offering employment to anyone who wants to work in the passenger transport sector. This controversial activity can extend its borders now, since we have managed to find out that they are working on a new version of the app that would offer third party information so that we can know the entertainment offers of each city. Although uber has not officially commented on the matter, it seems that the objective is to do something similar to what FourSquare did, to become a guide of the city. Although in this case the option to request a car is included, so that they can go to the different events or locations registered.

Apparently Uber will not charge developers who are part of the new experience and in the initial phase will not include advertising in this content feed, where services and applications can be discovered using Uber’s own app. This commitment to content is extremely risky, but offers Uber the possibility of expanding its business model, becoming a mandatory app for both users of the transport service and those who continue to use other options. There are no dates yet defined for this new version, but according to the sources that have leaked the information, we are not far from being able to see it available.
