Shoaib Akhtar suggests to make Babar Azam captain

KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricketer and world’s fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar has said that Babar Azam should be made Test captain of Pakistan team. Shoaib Akhtar said in his statement that time has come to move on, we should invest in our future and make Babar Test captain. Let it be known that Babar Azam is just 22-year-old and has excelled in all formats of the game at very early stage of his career. Former skipper Moin Khan has lashed out at Azhar Ali, saying the latter doesn’t deserve to be a captain. The 45-year-old stressed that Ali should have first cemented his spot in the squad rather than directly being made the captain. “Azhar was inducted in the team directly as captain and I have always opposed this decision. He should have first secured his place in the team and then he should have been made captain. He didn’t deserve to be captain.”
