LONDON: Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince Harry stood at mile 22 of the London Marathon to hand out water – and then get squirted with it. The three Royals, there as part of Team Heads Together, stood towards the end of the race to high five runners and encourage them to keep going. But at least one runner was so distracted at coming face to face with them that Harry had to remind him to carry on running. Photos also show how some of the water they gave out was misused, with contenders squirting them with the water instead of drinking it.

The Prince used his foam finger to point in the direction the runners were meant to be going in when people slowed down to get a triple high five. The three Royals took selfies and high-fived some of the 40,000 runners, having earlier started the event by pressing a large red button.
