KOLLYWOOD: Chandrika Ravi, the Australian beauty queen, model and actress who had debuted in the adult comedy horror Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu and recently seen in Nakul’s Sei is in the news again. She is all set to take on a role as the sole heroine in Kollywood’s Malayalam-Tamil bilingual titled Un Kadhal Irundhal.
Directed by Hashim Marikar, the film marks the debut of Mammootty’s nephew Maqbool Salmaan with Srikanth and Riyaz Khan in the lead.
Speaking at the audio launch, Chandrika said, “Contrary to my earlier adult movie, I have a solid role in Un Kadhal Irundhal. I hope people would appreciate my performance. I have grown up watching Srikanth’s films. The movie has an ensemble cast and it was an enriching experience working with them.”
On his part, Srikanth said, “I got on board this film only at the end. Hashim happens to be a good friend of mine. When he narrated the script to me, I was pretty much impressed and told him that it would be really nice if he translates it on to screen exactly. He has given his heart and soul into nurturing the film and it will be new in its kind of psychological thriller.”
“I have acted in 15 Malayalam movies and am a hardcore fan of Tamil movies. It’s been a great dream for me to act in Tamil industry like uncle Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan. It has come true now.”
