MITCHAM: A mother has been charged with murdering her five-year-old daughter who was found stabbed to death at a home in Mitcham earlier this summer.
Sutha Sivanantham, 35, is due to appear before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday by video-link over the death of her five-year-old child Sayagi Sivanantham, the Metropolitan Police said.
The pair were both found with knife wounds at their flat in Monarch Parade, Mitcham, on the afternoon of June 30.
Sayagi was taken by paramedics to hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
As the Wimbledon Times reported previously, neighbour, Elsa Gonzales, 47, said she found the pair with injuries inside a flat in Monarch Parade in Mitcham, at around 4 pm on June 30.
