TURKEY: Lindsay Lohan met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Syrian blogger Bana Al Abed. Lindsay has been very vocal about her support for Syrian refugees. She has been visiting refugee camps and financially aiding them with food and medication. Recently, Lindsay met President Recep and Bana at the presidential palace. Bana posted a video on twitter and Lohan commented, “We want to send to all of the people in Syria and Aleppo suffering, and to all the refugees, we are here supporting you and you can hang on and be strong. Just like Bana has.” Lohan has honoured Turkey’s president Erdogan and his wife with light blue badges that has a Turkish quote stating, “World is bigger than five”. This quote refers to the UN Security council’s five permanent countries Britain, China, France, United States and Russia. Bana and her family escaped from the besieged area of Turkey and President Erdogan hosted them at the presidential palace. Bana took it to the social media to share the picture on twitter, captioning it as “”Meeting with my friends @rt_erdogan, Emine and @lindsaylohan to support the people of Syria.” Lindsay Lohan has been a part of hit films The Parent Trap, Freaking Friday, Mean Girls that got her all the fame, however, she struggled with drug addiction and was sentenced to 240 hours of community service back in 2013 to 2014.
