IPL match postponed after 2 players positive for Covid

AHMEDABAD – The Indian Premier League postponed a match Monday after two Kolkata Knight Riders players tested positive for coronavirus, organisers said.

Kolkata s match against Virat Kohli s Royal Challengers Bangalore was called off just hours before it was due to start in Ahmedabad, the first match to be postponed because of the coronavirus surge in India.

Chakaravarthy and Warrier “have isolated themselves from the rest of the squad” after testing positive, an IPL statement said. “All other team members have tested negative for Covid-19,” it added.
