Actress and singer Lindsay Lohan, once one of the biggest party girls in Hollywood, is hinting that she has converted to Islam. Lohan, 30, deleted all the photos on her Instagram account and changed her bio to two words – alaikum salam, an Arabic greeting meaning “and unto you peace.” She has also deleted the vast majority of her postings on Twitter, leaving just 42 tweets for her 9.37 million followers. Many are interpreting the moves as an indication that Lohan has converted to the Muslim faith while some are posting messages of support. “I heard that Lindsay Lohan converted to Islam? If its true. God has shown her the right path to now follow.” one woman tweeted.
Lohan was photographed in 2015 carrying a copy of the Qur’an, the Muslin holy book, that she said was given to her by Saudi friends in London. “I brought it to New York because I was learning,” Lohan said at the time. “It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.” Lohan has repeatedly been in trouble with the law, racking up DUI charges and arrests for cocaine possession while entering rehab three times. She even served time in jail on a handful of occasions.
