Harmony ‘could become fifth-largest mobile OS by 2020’

BEIJING: Huawei’s in-house operating system, HarmonyOS, is set to surpass Linux to become the world’s fifth most popular operating system for smart digital devices by the end of 2020, according to Counterpoint Research’s latest report.

HarmonyOS, is an upcoming open source, microkernel-based distributed operating system being developed by Huawei. Unveiled on 9 August 2019, the platform is designed primarily for internet of things devices.
