NEW YORK – A JetBlue flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Minneapolis, a populous city in the US state of Minnesota after a passenger groped a woman after consuming a white substance.

According to a report in the Business Insider, the flight was forced to make a landing as the man was “erratically and aggressively” acting towards other passengers and members of the crew, the airline said.

According to the police, the man, identified as 40-year-old Mark Anthony Scerbo, was later arrested at Minneapolis−Saint Paul International Airport and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A JetBlue spokesperson was quoted as saying, “JetBlue flight 915 with scheduled service from New York’s JFK Airport to San Francisco, was forced to divert to Minneapolis after a customer on board began acting erratically and aggressively toward crewmembers and other customers. The flight was met by law enforcement, the customer was removed and the flight continued on to San Francisco.”

A passenger on board had also taken a video of the whole incident and posted it online on their Twitter account.
