BOLLYWOOD: The cast and crew of ‘Zero’ suffered a major setback on Thursday evening when a fire broke out on the film set, while Shah Rukh Khan was still shooting for the movie.
The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, lights, shooting materials, ropes and curtains, Vinay Rathod, Deputy Commissioner of Police told. The smoke was seen rising out of Film City in Goregaon. No one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is not yet clear, he added.
Reportedly, King Khan was present on the sets, however, he escaped the location unhurt. It seems like some scenes where being shot. ‘Zero’ will release on December 21 and some patchwork is left on the film.
The damage was controlled in no time as the fire brigade arrived quite quickly. If reports are to be believed then five fire brigade trucks rushed to the spot but almost 60 per cent of the sets have been burnt.
Some media reports also added that Alia Bhatt, too, was around the sets of ‘Zero’ when the fire broke out.
Apart from lead actors Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif the movie also stars Abhay Deol, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Javed Jaffrey and R Madhavan. Actors Salman Khan, Kajol, Deepika Padukone, late Sridevi and Rani Mukerji have cameo appearances in the film.
