LONDON: Boxer Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom has apologised after posting a Snapchat video while driving, saying she “wasn’t thinking”. The boxer’s wife shocked followers earlier this week after posting the clip which appeared to have been shot behind the wheel of her moving vehicle while her friend sits in the passenger seat. Faryal – who previously made headlines after accusing her husband’s family of “bullying” her in a string of Snapchat posts – also appeared to mock Bolton as she offered to give her pal a tour of the northern town.
But the mum-of-one has apologised for her actions, telling “It was stupid of me, I wasn’t thinking. “I was just so excited to be home and I just didn’t realise. “Now I keep my phone as far away as possible from me when I am driving – you learn from your mistakes.” She added: “Bolton is my home, I live here and people show love and respect. I get defensive about Bolton. “I am a city girl from New York but Bolton has so much greenery and it is where my houseis, which I am decorating. “I was excited to be back in Bolton and to show where I live to my friend.” In the video, Faryal is heard saying “Zoha came to visit me, all the way from Scotland!” as she films her friend in the passenger seat through the open door of the car while it is stopped. But in a second clip, she appears to be filming at the wheel, telling Zoha: “So I’ll show you the streets of Bolton, Zoha. Excited?”
