England beat India in second ODI

LONDON: Joe Root was adjudged the man of the match and there was good reason for that. His century, accompanied by Eoin Morgan and David Willey’s fifties helped England get to a competitive 322-run total.

England then managed to get the Indian top order dismissed and Liam Plunkett swooped down on the rest. The visitors ended the second ODI 86 runs short of the target. The series will hence be decided at Headingley.

England: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (capt), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wkt), Moeen Ali, David Willey, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood
