BOLLYWOOD ace director Karan Johar has already announced sequel of his 2008 hit film ‘Dostana’, which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. Recent reports suggest that Alia Bhatt has been approached to play the lead in the much-awaited sequel.
“The conversation has begun and Alia has liked the idea. She will hear the final script and close the formalities soon.”. According to the report, Karan will soon zero in on the two male leads for the film.
“Casting for her two male co-stars is presently underway after which Karan will make the final announcement. Preproduction on the film has also begun,” Mumbai Mirror reported.
Earlier, there were rumours about Jahnvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra to star in ‘Dostana’ sequel. However, KJo took to Twitter to reveal that there’s no truth to these reports.
Apart from this, Alia will also star in Karan’s upcoming productions ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Kalank’. On more recent front, her upcoming ‘Gully Boy’ is all set to hit the cinemas on February 14.
