BEIJING: Have you ever anxious your belongings might be stolen when you go through security checks?
According to Chinese media, the woman’s weird actions startled security officers at the Dongguan Railway Station in China’s southern Guangdong Province last Sunday (Feb 11).
Images show the woman’s silhouette and heels as she crouches over her handbag while passing through the scanner.
She further jumped onto the conveyer belt and vigorously followed her handbag all the way to the other side.
Well, a Chinese woman recently went to an extent of climbing into a security scanner at a train station because she allegedly didn’t want to leave her handbag.
Security staff told her that this bag would also have to be checked and she reluctantly circled back to the airport-style luggage scanner.
The security video shows her leaving the screen and then emerging from the device.
It’s believed that she may have been protecting wads of cash given to her for Chinese New Year.
She put it on the conveyor belt before climbing on herself to ensure she was with her bag at all times. The woman, however, was oblivious of her perplexed audience and went on to catch her train. The Daily Mail says she was likely one of millions who will have been travelling for the Lunar New Year which happens on 16 February.
Railway staff have warned members of the public not to climb into X-ray machines as radiation in the machines is harmful to people, Pear Video reported.
