CHENNAI: In a thrilling match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 1 wicket in Match 7 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 at Hyderabad. With this win, SRH and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are at the top of the table with 4 points apiece. The Hyderabad team will go on top courtesy of a superior net run-rate. MI on the other hand drop to the sixth spot in the table and are yet to register their first win in this edition of the tournament.
SRH kept losing wickets at regular intervals and found themselves in deep trouble after they lost a bunch of wickets right at the end, which gave MI a glimmer of hope. Jasprit Bumrah 2 wickets and 3 runs in the 18th over, followed by Mustafizur Rahman’s 2 wickets and 1 runs in the penultimate over turned this match on its head. With 11 to win off the final over, it was up to Deepak Hooda to take the side home and that is exactly what he did. Billy Stanlake scored a boundary off the final delivery to hand SRH this win.
