South Africa beat Pakistan in Honk Kong Super Sixes final


HONG KONG: South Africa have ended the winning streak of Pakistan in the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament and clinched the trophy by defeating the Green Shirts in the final match played on Sunday (today).

South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first. Pakistan were all out for 123 runs in 4.5 overs. South Africa chased down the total on the last ball and ended their innings on 124/4 in five overs.

Earlier, Pakistan defeated Australia in the semifinal by 35 runs. The Green Shirts scored 115 runs for the loss of two wickets in five overs after they were put into bat by Australia.

In reply, Australia could score only 80 runs on three wickets in five overs. In first semifinal, South Africa had defeated New Zealand Kiwis by 18 runs.
