PCB to invite Ireland to tour Pakistan

MANCHESTER: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is interested in inviting the Ireland cricket team to tour Pakistan later this year.

Ireland are set to play their first-ever Test against Pakistan, which will start from May 11 in Dublin.

PCB chairman Najam Sethi will be present at the venue for the historic event.

According to a report published in the Daily Express, Sethi will officially invite the Ireland cricket team for the tour of Pakistan during the match.

Ireland agreed to tour Pakistan in 2014, but later refused because of the attack on the Karachi airport.

Later, it were Zimbabwe who became the first major international side to tour the country after the attack on Sri Lankan team bus in 2009.
