Mushtaq Ahmed to be honored with Asian Award at UK

LONDON: Pakistan former leg spinner Mushtaq Ahmed will be awarded the prestigious Asian Award in a ceremony to be held at UK today.

“Deeply humbled and honored to receive the prestigious Asian Award. I am thankful to all the people for their love, prayers and unconditional support in this regard,” tweeted Mushtaq.

Ahmed represented Pakistan in 52 Tests and 144 One Day Internationals (ODIs) picking up 185 and 161 wickets, respectively. He has also served in various positions at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The live wire leggie is also known for his pivotal role at the World Cup 1992 that Pakistan went on to win under the leadership of current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
