Mumbai: Three men gang rape college girl in moving car

MUMBAI: While on her way to college on Thursday morning, a 20-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by three men near Charkop area.

According to sources, the incident occurred in sector number five. A police source said, “According to the victim’s statement, three men arrived at the spot in an Eco car and kidnapped her. They took her to Madh area and raped her in the moving car. Then they pushed her off the vehicle near Charkop and fled from the spot.”

The girl later approached the Charkop police and filed a complaint in the matter. After recording her statement, the cops registered a case and started investigation in the matter.

Speaking to media, an officer from Charkop police station said, “The matter has been reported to the senior officers. We are verifying the car number and also checking the CCTV footages. Some people related to the victim are also being questioned regarding the incident.” He further said, “We have registered a gang-rape and kidnapping case. The facts revealed by the victim are being verified.”
