In pictures: Sadiq Khan on historic trip to Pakistan

London Mayor Sadiq Khan visited Pakistan to promote his ‘London is Open’ campaign. He met government officials, representatives of civil society, cricketers and different other dignitaries from every walk of life.

He was full of praise for Pakistan and voiced joy for coming to land which is home to his ancestors.

He visited Badshahi Masjid in Lahore and Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum in Karachi.

He said he was proud to be visiting Karachi and that he has brought a message from London for everyone asserting that London is home to Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus and people of all colours and races.

“London welcomes you all, for education, business, tourism. London is open,” said Khan.

The London mayor had tight schedule in Pakistan and attended different ceremonies in Karachi and Lahore.
