Imran Tahir, Sangakkara helps Multan Sultan take over Quetta


SHARJAH: Multan Sultans thrashed Quetta Gladiators by nine wickets in the 13th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 Sharjah on Saturday.

Sent into bat first, Sarfraz Ahmed-led squad were bowled out for just 102 in the 16th over. In reply, Sultans chase down the target in the 17th over at the expense of just one wicket.

Imran Tahir of Sultans became the second bowler to bag a hat-trick this season (after Junaid Khan’s hat-trick earlier this season).

Tanvir, who got three crucial wickets, was declared man of the match.

Sangakkara, who knocked 57 in the opening match against Peshawar and 63 against Lahore, batted sensibly as he and Ahmed Shehzad (27 off 35 balls) put on 66 steady runs for the opening wicket.
