BOLLYWOOD: Her last film with Shah Rukh Khan may have not done well, but Anushka Sharma remains undeterred as she gets ready for her next film with King Khan.
Aanand L. Rai’s untitled project also stars Katrina Kaif as the trio reunite after the successful Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). Anushka said: “I am excited about it. Although Katrina and I have no scenes together, I love her and am working with Shah Rukh again. It’s very easy to work with him. Aanand himself is excited about the film.”
Anushka’s film journey began opposite SRK in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). Speaking of her decade in Bollywood, Anushka said: “It’s been an interesting journey. I try and do different roles so that I can keep myself interested as an actor and I am happy that I got to do such good roles.
“I don’t see Shah Rukh as an actor when I work with him; I see him as the character. In Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, our characters are not in love, but slowly fall in love, although they are not aware of it. In Jab Tak Hai Jaan, she is in love with him and awe of him, but he does not love her. Now you will have to wait for Aanand Rai’s film,” she smiles.
Anushka was also full of praise of the actor’s works. “I loved him in Chak De! India and Swades. I liked other films too, but I have an affinity towards such films. He is constantly trying to reinvent himself as an actor and that
Besides these, Anushka will be seen with Varun Dhawan in Yash Raj Films’ Sui Dhaaga. “I can’t talk about it at the moment, but I am happy with that title. Maneesh (Sharma of Band Baaja Baaraat and others) is a good director and makes lovely films. He is very shy and timid,” she said.
She also has her next production in the pipeline – Pari. “I had a great experience with my Phillauri. I have finished one schedule of Pari and it’s releasing next year. I started this production house with the confidence that I got from the stardom I have achieved. I am working and pushing good content and happy that people are appreciating my hard work.”
