Shahid Afridi’s all-round performance powered Dhaka Dynamites to a comfortable eight-wicket win over Sylhet Sixers on Saturday.

The Pakistani all-rounder was adjudged player of the match for his outstanding performances both with bat and ball.
After the dismissal of Afridi, skipper Shakib Al Hasan came to crease and paired with Evin Lewis for an unbeaten partnership of 47 off 3.3 overs that carried their side to winning mark.

Sent in to bat first, Sylhet scored 101 for 9 in 20 overs for their collection riding on the unbeaten stand of 49* off 7 overs between Abul Hasan and Taijul Islam in the 10th wicket stand.
Before that, Pakistani all-rounder googly-boy Shahid Afridi (4/12), Sri Lankan spinner Sunil Narine (3/10) and left handed local pace bowler Abu Hider(2/10) delivered four overs each to handle Dhaka’s bowling department.
They — Afridi, Narine, Hider — destroyed 90 percent of Sylhet’s batting strength in a fast mood, taking nine wickets for 53 runs in 13th over.
Number 9 batsman Abul Hasan top-scored with 30* off 26 balls, including three boundaries and one six while Taijul Islam (16* off 20b; 1×4), opener Danushka Gunathilaka (15 off 9b; 3×4) and skipper Nasir Hossain (10 off 14b;1×4) were the other double digit scorer for Sylhet.
Sylhet started their tournament with an emphatic nine wickets victory against Dhaka in the tournament opener on November 4 and maintained their winnings streak beating Comilla Victoriand and Rajshahi Kings by four wickets and 33 runs respectively before conceded the 1st defeat against Khulna Titans by six wickets.
Starting with a frustrating loss in the seven-team tournament, Dhaka recovered their form with a 65-run win against Khulna Titans.
