Amir Khan returns to Britain after successful hand surgery

Amir khan boxer

Boxer Amir “King” Khan is back in Blighty with his right hand restored to full punching power but, as yet, no opponent to hit. Khan, having been passed over for a super-fight yet again with Manny Pacquiao switching to a clash with Jeff Horn in Australia, will not now be back in the ring until after Ramadan. That Muslim observance does not end until June 24, which makes a comeback before the end of August unlikely. Khan has not boxed since last May, when he risked moving up to middleweight only to be knocked out by Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. Since then our former Olympic silver medallist and two-time world champion has undergone successful surgery for that long-time hand injury and rearranged his financial affairs following an acrimonious split with his former team, several close family members included.
